Personal loans for no credit history: what to expect
Build your understanding before borrowing for the first time. Review how the credit check, payment schedule and reporting work together.
Personal loans for no credit history
Lendify does not require an established credit history. It still checks your credit score and considers creditworthiness along with your income and expenses when reviewing an application.
Personal loans to establish credit
Lendify reports all borrowers' payment history to at least one major credit bureau. That reporting is how the loan builds credit; there is no promised score increase.
Know the payment commitment
Installment loans with no credit history still involve repayment. Lendify has fixed payments every two weeks, so compare the schedule and total repayment before taking the next step.
Already have a difficult credit history?
Lendify reviews creditworthiness and ability to repay. If you are comparing borrowing with poor credit, review those requirements alongside the income and document checklist.

Questions before your first personal loan
Can I apply before I have established a credit history?
Yes. Lendify does not require an established credit history. You must still meet the income, residency, age, ability-to-repay and creditworthiness requirements. Lendify checks your credit score when you apply and reviews monthly income and expenses as part of its assessment.
Does Lendify still review credit for a first-time borrower?
Yes. Lendify checks your credit score when you apply, including when you are borrowing for the first time. No credit history is required, but the credit review remains part of the process, alongside a review of income, expenses and other creditworthiness criteria.
How does Lendify report a new borrower's payment history?
Lendify reports the payment history of all borrowers to at least one major credit bureau. This includes borrowers who are starting their credit history. The loan has fixed payments every two weeks, so review the payment schedule together with the reporting feature.
Will I need collateral or a cosigner for my first Lendify loan?
No. Lendify does not require collateral or a cosigner for its personal installment loans. The other application requirements still apply, including stable, verifiable income and an assessment of ability to repay. Lendify also checks your credit score when you apply.
What income requirements apply when I have no credit history?
You need stable, verifiable income of at least $10,000 a year. Lendify considers monthly income and expenses to assess ability to repay, as well as creditworthiness. You must also meet the age and state requirements and have no active Lendify loan or application in the last 90 days.
Can I reduce finance charges by paying my first loan early?
Yes. Lendify allows early repayment without a prepayment fee, and paying early lowers finance charges. The scheduled payments are fixed and due every two weeks. Review the payment schedule and total repayment when comparing the loan with your budget before applying.
